Restricted items in checked baggage
- Explosives, compressed gases, flammable substances, corrosive substances, irritating substances, magnetic substances,
radioactive substances, and other substances that may pose a danger to the vessel and to persons or property of others are not allowed
to be transported as baggage.
Prohibited items in your cabin baggage
- Even if an item is allowed on board or as checked baggage, it may not be permitted by the shipping company policy.
Other
- Items not otherwise specified may be prohibited on board the vessel or placed in checked baggage if the International Passenger Terminal or International Cruise Terminal security screening supervisor determines that the item poses a potential risk of harm during security screening.
- Some items that are prohibited on the ship that are labeled as dangerous goods may be checked as checked baggage by requesting that the carrier check them.
- Firearms, and weapons that fall under the Firearms, Swords, Explosives, etc. Control Act can be transported as checked baggage only with a possession permit or export license.
- If it's a chemical or toxic substance, such as silicone, it can be transported in checked baggage if the passenger provides a material safety data sheet that complies with the Occupational Safety and Health Act and the substance is deemed safe.
